The West Salem Marching Panthers finished another successful marching season on October 13th. After starting with the Kellog Watermelon Days Parade on September 10th, the band kept refining their marching song, “It Had Better Be Tonight” by Henry Mancini.
The band also got to perform for the whole town during the La Crescent Applefest Parade on September 17th. Unfortunately, the band couldn’t perform in the Homecoming show due to the bad weather. However, the band didn’t let that stop them from performing another halftime show and playing in the Homecoming Parade on September 22nd. The band had fun playing in the Oktoberfest parade and singing to the audience on September 30th.
Now that the marching season is over, the band has started working on their winter concert. Come see the band at the Heider Center on December 17th at 7:00 p.m. for their annual winter concert performance.
