Health Occupation Students of America are bringing back health and wellness awareness to West Salem High School. Mrs. Key is the adviser for this club of aspiring health care workers. The elected officers were decided in the spring of 2023. President Rylan Riste, Vice President Mya Koudelka, Secretary Emily Fechneer, and Treasurer Kate Fechner all had to run and be voted into these positions. They have been working hard to rebuild the club again. Their next big event is planning a CCLR (College Career Life Readiness) day for the students. The power team in charge includes seniors Mya Koudelka, Kate Fechner, Rylan Riste, Emily Fechner, and junior Ella Butts. Together the team is reaching out to small businesses to help lead sessions with the student body. The day will consist of fun physical activities along with mental health focused sessions. “ I am really excited to be a part of this club this year. Hosting a CCLR day is a great way for us to get our club out there and have a fun day for the students,” says Junior Ella Butts.
