West Salem High School seniors graduated on Sunday May 26, 2019 at 1:30 pm. Brooke Bentzen, the class president, Trygve Lebakken, the Valedictorian, and Kendra Ames, the Salutatorian, spoke in front of their class. Quinten Brown, the teacher that was nominated by the class, also made a speech.  “For me, graduation was both terrifying and invigorating,” said graduate Morgan Adams. “I am scared about my future and I am sad to leave my family at West Salem High School. Graduation was also very freeing, I thought I would be a huge mess by now but actually I feel more independent. For someone with pretty bad anxiety, that’s a huge deal.”

I was really ready to graduate and move onto bigger and better things,” said Tori Greer, a West Salem High School class of 2019 graduate.  In total, 115 students earned their diploma on that Sunday.
