On Thursday the 16th of February, the girls basketball team had a home game against Arcadia. To start out the game was very back and forth. The Panthers soon got a lead, but Arcadia tied the game with 6 minutes left till halftime. The score goes back and forth for the 6 min but then the Panthers got a 5 point lead going into halftime. At halftime West Salem leads with a score of 26-21. The start of the second half did not go like the first half. The Panthers got possession of the ball and got a lead of 57-32 with 7:30 minutes left in the game. West Salem kept playing this way in the second half and won the game. The score was 65-40. At the end of the game, West Salem got presented the Coulee Conference Champs trophy. The next game will be Friday, at 7:00pm in West Salem, against Arcadia for the start of playoffs.
