At first glance, Oma looks exciting. It’s a spacious building with a drive through, parking lot, garage door, and large outdoor lounge. On the inside, it still is. The room has a larger corner area to order drinks and food. The rest is filled with couches tables with chess boards and a sliding barn door. It truly does have the coffee shop aesthetic.

I took my little sister and I to the counter to order drinks. The customer service was good. The drinks were a little pricey. They weren’t ridiculous, but they definitely cost more than Starbucks or Kwik Trip coffee. Raegan, my younger sister ordered a tropical smoothie. I was set on trying their coffee, but I was stuck. They didn’t have any common coffees that were familiar to me. There weren’t any cappuccinos, americanos, macchiatos, or chai tea. There weren’t a lot of options either.

After I ordered a coffee, it took a little while to receive it. Raegan looked at me sadly, handing me her smoothie. It had banana, strawberry, pineapple, and peach. It tasted sour. It simply had too many contradicting flavors. It was just bland, and then a punch of untamed tang. After I was given my coffee, I was disappointed as well. It tasted like straight black coffee, and Oma didn’t have a lot of sweeteners to use.

Oma is an awesome hangout spot with good food and fun furniture. I really wanted to like this place, but all coffee shops need good coffee. Oma didn’t have that. It wasn’t worth the money, but the actual building was very nice and the food was okay. If I had to give it a rating, then it would be 3 out of 5 stars. The scenery was great, but the beverages weren’t what I hoped for.
