How to Make Delicious Peanut Butter Cookies


While you may not know them by name, the peanut butter blossom cookie is a holiday classic. There’s no better way to get festive than to whip up a batch of cookies, so I decided to share my favorite recipe for these incredible cookies. To make this holiday treat, you will need: sugar, packed brown sugar, peanut butter, softened butter, one egg, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and lastly, Hershey’s kisses. 

The first step to making these cookies would be to set the oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit. Next in a large bowl add ½ cup of sugar, ½ cup of brown sugar, ½ cup of creamy peanut butter, ½ cup of softened butter and one egg. After all of those ingredients are in the bowl, they’ll need to be mixed together using a spoon or an electric mixer on medium speed until well-blended. 

Then stir in 1 ½ cup of flour, ¾ teaspoon of baking soda, and ½ teaspoon of baking powder until dough forms. 

Once it’s all mixed together, shape the dough into balls with about a 1 inch-long diameter. Roll the dough balls into extra sugar then placed 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. 

Next, they will need to bake for 8-10 minutes until a light golden brown. 

After you carefully remove the cookies from the oven, the last step is to press the kisses into the middle of the cookies while they are still warm. Then, let them cool down for a half-hour to an hour. 

Once they have cooled, they will be ready to serve and enjoy!
