This year, West Salem American Legion generously helped make our Neshonoc yearbook possible through their Orange Level sponsorship.
According to their website, “The American Legion, a veterans organization, advocates for veterans and their families, supports youth programs, and promotes patriotism and national security. They also work to improve veterans’ benefits and services, including VA healthcare.” The West Salem American Legion Post 51 was established in 1918. It has been serving West Salem veterans and their families since that time.
The American Legion does have connects to the school such as they sponsor a baseball program, with 18U and 16U teams, and they hosted the 2015 Wisconsin Class A Legion State Tournament. The American Legion as a whole, is motivated to give back to students primarily through its commitment to community service and youth development. With their community sponsorship this helps our students get scholarships to financially assist them with college or vocational education.
On behalf of West Salem Students, thank you West Salem American Legion for sponsoring our 2025 yearbook. We encourage readers to go and support our American Legion whenever they can.
