The 2024 girls tennis team had a very successful season overall. Coach Julie Kamala told the school, during the pep assembly for state, that she’s very proud of how hard the girls worked throughout the season. The team ended as conference champions for the Coulee Conference.
Taylor Burch ‘24, Natalie Graham ‘24, and Megan Johnson ‘25 advanced to the state competition in Madison. Burch and Graham joined the tennis team last year, and they went to compete at state as a doubles team. That is very hard to do since it was their 2nd year going out for tennis, and they made it all the way to state. “I had so much fun this season, and I loved playing with Taylor,” says Graham. Taylor Burch ‘24 says, “I loved competing in Madison during my last year of tennis. It was a great way to end the season.” Burch was a part of the doubles team along with Graham. Johnson advanced as a singles competitor. It was a tough tournament this year, and it was very impressive to have 3 players make it that far.
The tennis team had over 50 participants and a very solid season. The team worked so hard this season, and they competed very well overall.
