On Tuesday, December 5th, the boys hockey team took on the Black River Falls Tigers. The team was 0-3, and looking for a win to bring up the team’s energy.
In the first period the match up was looking fairly even with the score being 0-0. With only 11.5 seconds before intermission the Tigers were able to put one past senior goaltender Abram Lassen.
The boys come out with their heads hanging low, giving Black River Falls the opportunity to put another one in the net. The team was not going to let them get a shutout, with Bangor defenseman Joe Gasper putting one in for the Panthers.
The Tigers got a quick answer back making the score 3-1. The boys were hoping to go into the end of the period with a little momentum, but Black River was able to put another one in with 0.4 seconds left in the 2nd period.
By the third period the team had fully given up, hanging their heads low and not protecting Lassen. With the end score being 7-1. Their next game is on Thursday, December 4th, at the Panther Den.
