Q: What were your first impressions? How was your first day?

David Kazda is new to the West Salem High school and he started on August 25, 2017. His first thought on the school was that he liked it very much.

Q) Can you tell me about your college education or teaching journey?

Kazda went to get his bachelor’s degree at University of Wisconsin LaCrosse. He later went on to getting his masters degree in Minnesota.

Q) Where are you from? How different is Wisconsin/West Salem from where you were working before?

Kazda is from Janesville Wisconsin. He met his wife later on in 2006 and he graduated in 2008. Two years ago he was working at Sparta High School.

Q) What is your teaching style/philosophy in the teaching position you choose?

Kazda’s teaching style is he plays good and bad cop in the room. He thinks sometimes the rules should be followed, but he also likes to bend them and have fun!

Q) What do you do outside of school?

Outside of school Kazda is a family guy. He likes to play sports and go fishing whenever he can. Even though he likes to fish, he would rather stay home and watch cartoons with his two kids.

Q) Is there anything else you would like to tell me?

Kazda has a four and a half year old dog. He is a long life learner, and he is a people person.
