Who Killed Christopher Goodman?

Written by Allan Wolf

Based on a True Crime

Rating: 4.5/5

“Everybody likes his Goodman. Sure, he’s kind of weird. He wears crazy bell-bottoms

and he really likes the word ennui and he shakes your hand when he meets you,

but he’s the kind of guy who is always up for a good time and is happy

to lend a hand. Everybody likes Chris Goodman, which is why it’s so shocking

when he is murdered.

Here, in a stunning multi-voiced narrative that includes the perspective of the killer

and is inspired by a true and shocking crime from the author’s own past,

Allan Wolf endeavors to answer the first question that comes to mind

In moments of unthinkable tragedy: How could a thing like this happen?”

Who Killed Christopher Goodman is one of those rare books that makes you step back and rethink your life once you finish it. As an avid reader, I have read very few books that have moved me to tears like this one has. In fact, I hesitated to write a review for this one because I wanted to keep this little gem all to myself. I read it in the span of about a week, and I couldn’t bare to put it down for even a minute. When I finish a book, I always have an exited summary, an explanation of characters and their wants and fears and dynamics, but this time I don’t. I could very well ramble on, but no words I could ever write would do this book justice. You’re just going to have to pick it up and read it yourself.
