Get To Know The New Afternoon Commons Paraprofessional

Students may have noticed the new face in the commons. Her name is Katie Boehlke, and she is the new afternoon paraprofessional. Boehlke has been a stay at home mom for the past 10 years. Now that both of her children are in school, she found herself bored and in need of a change. Boehlke found that West Salem High School had an opening spot working in the library being a Commons Paraprofessional. She jumped right in on the opportunity. Boehlke loves interacting with students and getting to know them, as well as this school as a whole. “Of course I love working here! Before being a stay at home mom, I used to work with preschool aged children and this is my first is my firtst time working with high school kids. It’s been so nice getting to know everyone and just being able to talk to them without needing to teach a subject in a classroom.” said Boehlke.
