The co-op girls hockey team, also known as the Cyclones, haven’t had a winning season so far. They’ve had 9 games and have lost them all.
The varsity goalie, Diana Hanson from Holmen High School, had her tonsils removed and was recently cleared to play. Players who had to shuffle positions and departures of last year’s seniors have definitely effected the team, but the girls still have fun and love being with each other.
“I love being with my team. I have learned a lot from our coaches and my teammates,” said Hanson. “They’ve taught me to be a good teammate and how to work together. Hockey is, and will always be my favorite sport.”
Hanson wasn’t the only one who has good things to say about hockey. Celia Mitchell is the only senior on the team this year and loves to play hockey. “I like hockey because I like to meet new people and bond over a unique sport,” said Mitchell. As of December 21, 2023, the Cyclones still have not won a game.
