Softball had a great season last year finishing at sectional finals, and they are back again this year to try and win the State title. Different from the previous season, the team is heavily led by upperclassmen. “Throughout my 4 years apart of this program, I truly feel that we as a team are a family,” says Captain Signe Roesler. “Everyday we come to the field knowing that we have eachothers backs, win or lose. Also, as a graduating senior, I am grateful for the opportunities this program has gifted me.”
Currently the Panthers are standing at a 6-3 record and hope to keep their winning streak alive. Sophomore pitcher Joise Brudos is the Panthers #1 pitcher. Brudos has had 2 no hitters, the first one was against Black River Falls where the Panthers won 6-0, and the second one was against Viroqua where the Panthers won 11-0.
Both the Varsity and JV team has had multiple homeruns from Signe Roesler ‘24, Josie Brudos ‘26, Abby Paszek ‘26, Lexus Nelson ‘26 and a homerun off of a bunt from Junior Maclaine Heilman. The Panthers play a double header against Westby on Tuesday, April 30th.
