Whether your going to school or running errands with your friends, you always have to wear some sort of pants. Many people don’t think too much about their pants when they ear them. The average person will only pay close attention to their clothes when they first buy them, looking into the fine details of the expensive fabric. Feeling the warmth or softness of each seam under their fingers as they slip their legs into it. The next thing most notice is how it looks on them. Inspecting if it defines or shapes their bodies into ways they like or dislike, and to many, this is the biggest factor when buying pants. Nobody talks about it, but everyone knows, if doesnt fit your body type right, you put it back down.
Coming in at fifth place the best type of pants for teenagers are skirts. They are ranked low because of the lack of versatility they offer. They are cute and fashionable but are hard to wear in the winter and hard to dress down. They are perfect for a casual outfit or for dressing up for a fancy event. They come in a wide variety of colors, lengths and tightness. Oftentimes now you see flowy loose mini skirts in school and out and about during the summer, and tight long pencil skirts in offices and business events. Skirts are perfectly placed at fifth place for the best types of pants for everyday wear. Although skirts are able to be dressed up and dressed down in the appropriate weather, jeans are a staple piece in everyone’s closet.
Jeans are the next pants to be ranked on the list. Whether it’s skinny jeans, mom jeans, or just the classic boot cut, everybody owns a pair of jeans. They can be dressed down with a casual top or dressed up with a nice sweater. They keep your legs warm and offer full coverage or a stylish new ripped trend. Similarly to skirts, jeans also come in many different styles, colors and shapes. Because of this, they are a staple in every closet. With the normal light or dark wash, to the colorful patterned or bright colors they are a go to for everyone. A con of jeans that many people face is their comfortability. Although they are nice to create outfits with and pair well with almost everything, many people find them uncomfortable. They don’t offer softness or flowyness that other everyday pants do. Along with that many people find it hard to find pairs that fit nicely. Unlike leggings, jeans don’t always fit perfectly in the right spots. They can fit ill on the waist or be too tight on the thighs. Because of the lack of comfortability and the trouble of finding a good fitting pair, jeans are ranked fourth place. On the complete opposite side, shorts don’t have as many cons as jeans do.
Sports shorts are being placed at a strong third place for everyday wear. Many may think this is a controversial ranking, but there are many reasons for shorts to be this high. You may think, “oh you can’t wear those when it’s cold,” but you can. You can wear them in your house, at practice, and at the gym. Many people tend to use the gym more during the winter as they can’t exercise outside anymore. This is an amazing opportunity to wear those shorts you may not wear during the winter. Many athletes chose to wear shorts during their practices as well. They offer a comfortability level that jeans and skirts do not provide. Along with wearing them for the gym, shorts are a go to for athletes. Many athletes wear pants during the day and like to change into shorts during their practice to reduce body heat and to stay flexible and allow their movement to not be limited. Even if you aren’t wearing shorts for a sport or for the gym they are very comfortable to wear during a hot summer day or relaxing in the house after a long day. One of the cons of sports shorts is the lack of versatility. You can’t dress up sports shorts very often or very easily. As they often come in colorful designs or very loose and baggy fittings. This is amazing for comfortability but doesn’t work well in dressing them up in any way. Along with the comfortability they are very hard to wear outside during the winter, but leggings on the other hand are very good for versatility, comfortability, and dressing up.
Leggings are such a staple item in today’s society. Whether it’s wearing them to school, the gym, or even lounging around the house they are one of the perfect pairs of pants. You can dress them up with a nice shirt or sweater or dress them down with a crop top or sweatshirt. They come in any color or design you can imagine, and some websites even allow you to make your own designs on them as well. The classic black leggings are the most well known. Often being paired with a warm and cozy sweater or the classic tight fitting crop top. Everyday you see thousands of kids roaming the school halls or grocery store isles wearing these tight but comfortable pants. They fit like a glove and although many may think the tightness to every curve of your body may be uncomfortable, it is the complete opposite of that. They hug your body offering a clean and sleek image. This is also a reason why many athletes chose to wear them during the cold months or during certain practices or gym sesssion’s. They provide flexibility and a wide range of motion while still allowing you to be covered and warm. You can easily layer pants on top of them because of their tight fit. Although there are so many pros of leggings, everything in life has a con. One of the cons of leggings is that they are seen to be unprofessional. Many offices and formal buisnesses would not like you showing up in leggings to a job or an interview. Many tight fitting clothing items are frowned upon in the workplace and are seen to be inappropriate. This is true and if I was an interviewer I would not give someone a job if they showed up in a pair of leggings and a shirt. Another pair of pants that are seen to be unprofessional but have so many pros that you can overlook it is sweatpants.
The number one best pair of pants for everyday wear are sweatpants. They are the best pants that stores can offer. They are warm, comfortable, versatile and everyone owns them. Whether you are a teenager in highschool or retired and just having fun in life, you love sweatpants. They make your closet complete and personally I don’t know anybody who doesn’t own a pair of sweatpants. Just like leggings and jeans they come in many different styles, designs, and colors. They are offered in styles as tight or loose as your liking. They also come in many colors with grey and black being the classic colors everyone and their mothers own. Not only are they very versatile there are many different ways to style sweatpants. You can go with the classic pajama style or dress them up to have an edgy but stylish feel to them. They are often paired with warm hoodies, tight crop tops, or the classic pajama shirts. This allows people to wear them to almost every occasion. Although these are the best pants, just like everything in life there is a con. The only con to sweatpants is how unprofessional they are. You can’t make them casual and you definetly can’t wear them to work or a formal event. Many may see that as a bad thing, but in my eyes, that makes them nicer. It makes wearing sweatpants almost like a treat or a reward for having a long day or being tired. They allow you to be cozied up all day.
To sum everything up, sweatpants are the best pair of pants to wear. With leggings in second, sorts shorts in third, jeans in fourth and in last place, skirts. Many may find this list controversial but there are so many factors that come into play. You have to weigh your pro’s and con’s of each clothing item and see which pro’s are best and which con’s are the worst. All together, sweatpants had the best ratings and skirts did not.
