Top 10 Family Dog Breeds

While there are hundreds of dog breeds, it is clear that there are a couple that stand out from the rest. Having worked in a doggy daycare for a year, you learn which breeds are your favorite. Everyone wants something different from some breeds of loyalty and cuddles to their protectiveness. This list will go over the top 10 dog breeds for families.
Top+10+Family+Dog+Breeds

      1. Golden Retriever

Golden Retrievers have high loyalty and constant cuddles. They are always willing to play and then turn around and cuddle. They are the most loyal out of any breed. To add to that, they are extremely easy dogs to train, which makes them great dogs to have around families! Not to mention, goldens are very empathetic dogs and know when to calm down and give good cuddles. Overall, they are the perfect family dog!

      2. Bernese Mountain Dog

Bernese Mountain Dogs are a close second. They are quiet dogs, typically have less energy than golden retrievers, but are not quite as cuddly. They tend to lay around all day and not really move. In addition, they are very quiet dogs…because they are so busy sleeping! Bernese Mountain Dogs are a great family dog!

      3. Collie

Collies are adorable dogs. They are smaller dogs which is appealing to children of many ages. And they are quiet dogs that love to cuddle. Not to mention, they are extremely soft. Collies are quiet, which is great to have around the house! Although, they like having furry friends. They bond pretty quickly to other dogs, and they like to have that companion. Besides this, they are great dogs to have around the house!

      4. Australian Shepherd

Australian Shepherds are fun dogs! Because they have high energy, they are not ideal for many family types. On the other hand, they are soft, loving, and loyal companions. Although, they do love having their own companions. They thrive in areas like doggy daycare, open land, and farms. If you can handle the craziness of Australian shepherds, then I would recommend them!

      5. German Shepherd

German Shepherds are the sweetest dogs! They are the most loyal partners and are extremely loving. German Shepherds are known to have anxiety, so they need families that are willing/know how to take care of them properly. Besides this, they are great family pets! They love to play outside with their family and love to cuddle up for hours on end!

      6. Old English Sheepdog

Old English Sheepdogs are fluffy and kind, what else would you want in a family dog? While they are large dogs, deep down they are giant teddy bears. The only downside of Sheepdogs is that you have to keep up with regular grooming because they are so fluffy. If someone can do that, then they are a perfect new addition to families! The fluffiness of them is perfect for young children, and they know how to act around children! They are gentle, fluffy, and kind, what else could you ask for?

      7. Labrador Retriever

While labs are super friendly dogs, they can be a lot to handle. Labs have a lot of energy that they need to let out, so if you can find them a furry friend, labs are perfect for you! Plus, they’ll keep the children busy for hours on end! They are sweet, high-energy, and caring dogs. Great for families of all kinds!

      8. Dachshund

Dachshunds are the cutest dogs ever! They are small, which is perfect for little children around the house. They are relatively quiet dogs, that have lots of love to give. They love their cuddles and love to run around and play. They are the perfect family dogs because they are small, quiet, and cuddly. They are a great first dog for families with little children!

      9. French Bulldogs

French Bulldogs are super sweet! They love to play and get their energy out by playing with other dogs. They are very dog-friendly dogs! They love going to places such as doggy daycare because they do love other dogs so much. At the same time, they love to chill out and take long naps. They are such kind and loving dogs, and children of all ages just love them. Plus, they are very quiet dogs, which many families would like.

      10. Beagles

Beagles might be a little louder than some other dogs and a little bit stand-off-ish, but they are super sweet. They like their people more than they tend to like other dogs. Once they bond with someone, they are extremely loyal to that person. They love to get pets and cuddles, but they also love to play outside! They are very enjoyable to be around. They would be a great companion to have around the house.
