Top 10 Most Aggressive Sharks To Watch Out For

#1:

The Great White, also known as the King of the Sea, Theres a reason great whites are the first on this list, and that is because great whites have had the most recorded attacks and aggressive fits recorded out of all sharks. These apex predators match their scary looks with their terrifying personalities, too.

#2:

The Bull Shark: There aren’t a whole lot of shark attacks, but if you ever hear about one, chances are a bull shark might have been the cause; they’re known to migrate up rivers and attack humans out of aggression and curiosity at times and aren’t to be messed with.

#3:

The Tiger Shark: Tiger sharks are naturally very curious, which helps in discovering new food sources, but their curiosity is unfortunately responsible for some of the attacks against humans. Theres a reason why tiger is added into their name and that reason is for their love of hunting prey.

#4:

The Sand Tiger Shark: These sharks are a spin-off of the original tiger shark, except they are a little more scary-looking with their ragged teeth and small eyes. These sharks can usually be very docile, but this does not stop them from loving to hunt. There have been a few cases of these sharks attacking out of self-defense and curiosity.

#5:

The Short Fin Mako Shark: Short fin mako sharks have been known to be aggressive predators that like to hunt near the surface. Lots of fish like to hang out near the surface, which is their preferred meal, but sometimes it doesn’t go well with humans, who also usually hang out at the top of the sea. Their athleticism is no joke, and they’ve been known to have the strongest bite from a shark so far.

#6:

The Oceanic Whitetip Shark: Because oceanic whitetip sharks spend so much of their time moving through open water, their meals can be few and far between, so they’ll take a shot at any food they can get. They have been known to be very opportunistic and aggressive hunters. All shipwreck survivors should beware of these white-tipped hunters.

7#:

The Hammerhead Shark: Hammerheads are known to be aggressive hunters, feeding on smaller fish, octopuses, squid, and crustaceans, which makes them pretty good at what they do. Hammerheads do not actively seek out human prey but are very defensive and will attack when provoked. Hammerheads are also known to be very curious about divers and sometimes get too stressed out or confused, leading to past accidents.

#8:

The Blue Shark: Blue sharks are pelagic sharks commonly named for their distinct blue color that fades to a crisp white underside. They have a long, sleek body and an elongated, conical snout. These are less aggressive sharks, hence why they are at the bottom of this list, but they are very curious animals, known to approach divers, especially spearfishers, when food is involved.

#9:

The Bronze Whaler Sharks: Bronze whaler sharks aren’t commonly known to be super aggressive, but they have been known to get very defensive and upset if they feel their food is being taken away from them. Spear fisherman have said they’ve seen very aggressive bronze sharks when a fish is being taken on the line; thats the time they usually attack.

#10:

The Goblin Shark: The goblin shark is not usually known for its aggressive behavior, but they are sometimes too curious for their own good. These bottom dwelelrs lurk very deep within the ocean’s depths and are characterized by their unique appearance and the ability for them to unhinged their jaw when gobbling up prey. There was an incident one time of a younger Adolencente goblin shark trying to bit a diver, thinking it was prey.
