With winter break around the corner, families are in full swing with planning their memorable holiday vacation. Winter break is a big highlight of the semester for many as it is a great time to do a variety of things. For some break includes traveling, spending time with family, and fun traditions.

“This year we are traveling a few hours to spend time with my dad’s side of the family over break,” says sophomore Emma Groll. “I look forward to seeing all my cousins and family that I don’t always get to see on a regular basis.”

Some people stay right in their own home, while some travel many miles during break to see their family. “I travel approximately 210 miles up north to see my family over break,” says principal Mr. Malott. For some, traveling this distance is the only way some people get to see their family over the break.

“My favorite part of break is always gathering together with family and friends,” says sophomore Danielle Christianson. No matter the distance they might be, spending time with family is always a highlight of break and a memory that will last a lifetime.
